Valentines day isn’t just a day for dinner and a chick flick.  It’s twenty four hours of romance for you and your lady.  You want to make the day a day that she’ll remember forever.  Here’s your guide on things to do on Valentines day.

Plan Ahead

Plan ahead.  I’m talking about requesting a personal day at your work place at least a month in advance.  Valentines day isn’t just for the evening.  It’s Valentines DAY.  You need to have an entire DAY of romance with your lady.  However, if you can’t get a day off from work, make sure to have a dozen red roses sent to her at home or her work.  The night before, if she will be staying home, plant love notes all around the house.  You don’t have to be a poet.  Just a simple “I love you, Happy Valentines Day” on a piece of paper will do just fine.

Things To Do On Valentines Day In The Morning

Start the day off by taking her out to breakfast.  Choose a nice restaurant.  After breakfast, take her for a scenic walk hand in hand. If she is working or you’re working, plan to call her at lunch time.

If you live in a warm climate, gather supplies for a romantic picnic.  If you live in a colder area, take her out to a restaurant of her choice.  If you are working or if she is working, then she will have likely gotten the flowers you sent.  Call her up and tell her how much you love her and how fortunate you are to have her in your life.

Things To Do On Valentines Day – Prepare the Bedroom

If you take her out for the day, after she is out of the bedroom in the morning, prepare the bedroom.  Sprinkle red rose pedals on the mattress.  If you’re working or she is is working, do it when you get home and keep her out of the bedroom until it’s time for bed.

Things To Do On Valentines Day – Cook Dinner For Her

I’m not talking about Hamburger Helper or Pasta Roni.  I mean cook dinner for her.  Can’t cook?  Don’t give me that.  If you can read and comprehend directions, you can cook.  It’s not rocket science.  Go on the Internet and search for a recipe.  Choose something that you know she likes that you have never had at home before.  Whatever you make, make it from scratch.  Don’t buy any sauces in a jar, don’t buy anything from a box.  Stick to frozen vegetables rather than canned ones.  While you’re at it, make something like a cheesecake from scratch too. You can find all sorts of recipes on the Internet for cheesecake.  Choose a bottle of wine that goes good with that you’re making for dinner.  Don’t stop at that.  Clean up as you’re cooking and after dinner.  Clean the stove, clear the table, wash the dishes or load the dish washer. (after rinsing off the dishes of course)

Things To Do On Valentines Day – After Dinner

Have a rented DVD prepared.  Do your best to choose a movie that she hasn’t seen before.  Try some sort of romance film.  While you’re watching the movie rub her back or her feet.  While you’re at it, polish off that bottle of wine.

Retire With Your Lady For The Evening

I don’t think you need any help here.

Your lady is just like any other lady.  She will respond to emotional actions.  With what you did on this day, she will be so fulfilled with love and adoration toward you.  And it wasn’t really that difficult.  Now you can’t say that you can’t think of things to do on Valentines day with your lady.
