Valentines Day is said to be one of the most special days for most couples. Days before this day of hearts, men are already in deep thoughts on what surprises should be prepared to make the day memorable for their significant others. They are actually fishing for opinions and suggestions from friends, families, and close relatives few weeks before the anticipated day.

Movies, romantic dates, jewellery, fancy presents, Broadway shows, concerts, a whole day of shopping with her: these are some of the ideas that would come up to a man’s mind each time they think about valentines day and what to do on this day. These are undeniably sweet and thoughtful, but then again, not all women are into fancy presents. A bouquet of flowers and a love letter personally written by the man they love are the sweetest. This idea may sound debatable for some but let me put everything in detail.

The special lady that a man would want to ask to go out with him should be treated like a princess. She’s someone whose heart is fragile and should be handled with utmost care and respect. Nowadays, because of computer, modern technologies and new discoveries, a man can ask a woman out through email, a phone call, a text message, a Facebook message or Skype conversation. Some women are okay with that but there will always be this special lady that is worthy of your every effort.

Fancy ideas are awesome but a woman would appreciate a man more who would pursue her the traditional way. Especially on a valentines day, it is not a common scene that a man is bringing a bouquet of flowers for his date and it takes a lot of courage to do that. They would usually have it delivered. As for the ladies’ perspective, looks or appearance can capture their eyes but only the personality and character can capture their hearts. Isn’t it nice if the man you like is not ashamed of letting the whole world know how special you are to him?

Wives always think about their families, their kids, their husband, career, household chores, sick parents and they tend to be very tired each and every day of their lives. Receiving flowers on a valentines day from their husband would surely make them forget about all the pain and tears that they have shed for the past years. Giving of flowers may sound simple to our ears but it is the most meaningful thing a man can ever give to his special lady. The beauty of flowers will make her remember your sweet memories. She will feel young and overwhelmed.

The sweet aroma of the flowers will make her remember your first kiss, your first date and the very first day she fell in love with you. Wives are easy to please especially by the man that they love. They are usually less expectant but would think about going out on a dinner date on that special day. Flowers plus a little note will make her smile with tears in her eyes.  Despite the modern age, I still think that the traditional way of pursuing or showing someone how much you value them is still and will always be the sweetest. Things will fade, jewelries will break, even the flowers will will wither but how you made her feel will forever stay in her heart and mind.

This valentines day, do not think about the amount of money that you will be spending for her, instead think about the amount of memories that she will treasure as she count many more years with you. It is not about the flowers after all, it is about how she would feel when you hand her those beautiful red roses that are perfectly arranged.
